Terms of use

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the SECUNITY Messaging app. The communication service is provided by the Server operator (the organisation or person running the server your app connects to): [FILL IN: Operator details]. The Operator may set additional rules.

2. Rules

• use your account lawfully and with respect for the rights of others,
• do not use the messenger to send unlawful content, malware or spam,
• do not attempt unauthorised access to the server or to other accounts,
• protect your login details and recovery key; you are responsible for keeping them safe.

3. Loss of access to messages

Because of end-to-end encryption, nobody but you holds the keys to your conversations. If you lose your device and your recovery key, your encrypted message history cannot be recovered.

4. Availability

The Operator makes reasonable efforts to keep the service running but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, in particular during maintenance and failures.

5. Account suspension

The Operator may suspend or delete an account in case of a breach of these terms or of the law.
